About Lisa
Daughter, sister, aunt, niece and great friend, Lisa Cosenza, was cruelly taken away from us on October 12th, 2017 in a violent and shocking manner by someone she was helping to rehabilitate in her own home. Lisa was always community-driven and realized the importance of an education to better oneself.
Lisa grew up in Southern California, and though she moved to Colorado for a period of time, her roots and her heart were always here with her friends and family and soon returned to the area. She was a graduate of a local high school, Dana Hills, and also obtained her Bachelor’s degree at California State University, Fullerton.
While pursuing the completion of her own higher educational goals, Lisa largely supported herself while graduating in a Communications major at CSUF. After graduation, Lisa earned great careers with companies like The Penny Saver and The Los Angeles Times/Daily Pilot.
Even though she paved lucrative careers for herself, she never forgot the importance of community work. Her heavy involvement within the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce, as well as in other Orange County charities and schools, earned herself an outstanding reputation in the area.
It’s in this vein that we have created an ongoing charitable foundation to help the next generation of students looking to get their college degree in Lisa’s name. We believe that this is not only a great way to honor her, but these scholarships will also help a demographic of people who Lisa was passionate in reaching, by allowing them to achieve their personal educational goals.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her gracious and loving spirit will always live on through us all in memory and in this endeavor. Thank you all so much for your love, support and donations–Lisa would be so thrilled and flattered at the impact she had, and will continue to have, on so many lives.
